Ryoko Ichikawa
Illustrator. I create works using simple shapes, a limited color palette, and a unique sense of balance and composition.
Born and based in Chiba, Japan. Graduated from Tokyo Zokei University with a degree in Comparative Arts, where I studied contemporary art and obtained a curator’s license. After graduation, I traveled, created art, spent time on a working holiday in New Zealand, and worked at a design company. In 2009, while working as a dispatch designer, I began my career as an illustrator. Around 2016, my style started to evolve, and by 2018 it had developed into its current form. In 2019, I became a full-time freelance illustrator. Today, I work across a wide range of media—from web to print—creating for advertising, video, editorial, and more.

千葉県生まれ、在住。東京造形大学美術学科比較造形専攻卒業。大学で現代美術を学び、学芸員資格を取得。卒後、旅、アート制作、ニュージーランドでのワーキングホリデー、デザイン会社勤務を経て、2009年、派遣デザイナーとして働く傍らイラストレーターとして活動をスタート。2016年頃から徐々に作風が変化し、2018年に現在のスタイルに。2019年、フリーランスとして独立。広告、動画、エディトリアルなど、Webから印刷媒体まで幅広く活動中です。
